Accountests Expands Pre-Hire Testing Suite with 2 New Tax Tests 

Napier, New Zealand – November 11, 2025 -- Accountests, the leading provider of pre-hire testing solutions for accounting and bookkeeping roles, announced today the launch of two new assessments: the Partnerships Tax Test and the S-Corporations Tax Test. 

“These two tests allow tax focused firms, especially smaller ones, to be very specific when checking the technical skills of new hires.  S-Corporations and Partnerships are the most common entity types, so it made sense to create testing specific to those entities,” explained  Accountests CEO, Donna Roughan. “Firms came to us and said they would really value these niche tests, so we responded.  Being focused to the demands of firms is one of the core goals for Accountests.” Roughan added. 

The S-Corporation Tax Test and the Partnership Tax Test measure a candidate's knowledge of both the reason for using an S-Corp election, or a Partnership structure, and the practicalities of completing returns for those entities and their owners.  The tests are focused at the Senior Tax Associate level, the most common hiring point for firms (after graduates).  The tests were developed by Accountests with the assistance of an Expert Group of tax CPAs.  The Expert Group ensure the question quality and the threshold candidates need to reach to be deemed competent.
